For my Highers and Nat 5s this session. Those of you who have been absent or are worried about the progress you are making, here is an at-a-glance guide to the completed work you should have so far, mostly on Iain Crichton Smith. I will spot-check this on Friday 🙂
As a bare minimum you should have:
- Annotated or taken notes on both stories
- Comparison of thin woman vs fat woman with quotations (or in book)
- Completed 3 mind maps on effects of war, sacrifice and isolation for The Telegram
- Poster/flow chart of walking through the village
- Red imagery poster for Red Door
- Red door quotations leading to epiphany
- Textual analysis questions on The Telegram
- Close Reading – All questions in your own words
- Symbolism exercise with quotes for 6 symbols and annotating them
- All stories summary homework (The Telegram only for N5)
- 4 bullet point break downs OR 2 PEE paragraphs on character (Bullet points only for N5)
- Spoken language assessment
- 9 Imagery analysis questions (Higher only)
- First 10 mark answer (Higher only)
