Catching up time!

For my Highers and Nat 5s this session. Those of you who have been absent or are worried about the progress you are making, here is an at-a-glance guide to the completed work you should have so far, mostly on Iain Crichton Smith. I will spot-check this on Friday 🙂

As a bare minimum you should have:

  • Annotated or taken notes on both stories
  • Comparison of thin woman vs fat woman with quotations (or in book)
  • Completed 3 mind maps on effects of war, sacrifice and isolation for The Telegram
  • Poster/flow chart of walking through the village
  • Red imagery poster for Red Door
  • Red door quotations leading to epiphany
  • Textual analysis questions on The Telegram
  • Close Reading – All questions in your own words
  • Symbolism exercise with quotes for 6 symbols and annotating them
  • All stories summary homework (The Telegram only for N5)
  • 4 bullet point break downs OR 2 PEE paragraphs on character (Bullet points only for N5)
  • Spoken language assessment
  • 9 Imagery analysis questions (Higher only)
